VVA-Yuma Chapter 835 provides two scholarships
per semester totaling $1125.00 per student per semester
All that is required is to first contact the Arizona
Western College Veteran's Office and ask for Beverly Stallman at 928-344-6773.

You will be required to do the following:
- Meet the requirements and with a DD-214
- Complete the application
- Take a short test about Vietnam
- Complete a term paper on Vietnam (your choice)
- Conduct a short interview with the VVA - Yuma
Chapter personnel
- Be evaluated based on your input and documents
presented
- Receive your needed funding.
Q: What can you do with this money?
A: You are permitted to purchase books, lab items, fees and tuition.
The money cannot be used for housing off campus. If you live on campus,
then it applies.
Q: What is some of the criteria for applying?
A: You must be a veteran yourself or the child of Vietnam veteran first,
then we look at other veteran's children (such as WWII, Korea, etc).
Q: What must my discharge say?
A: You must have an HONORABLE discharge on your DD-214 form. A
GENERAL DISCHARGE is not eligible.
Q: How hard is this test on Vietnam?
A: It's really pretty easy in that you can use any resources you like, except
someone that has been there. For example, many of the answers are in
books, on the web, etc. All we ask is that you be honest when taking it.
