Veteran Press Release

The Reader's Digest of a month or so ago provided some great information we all might be interested in.  It's called the :  VETERAN'S HISTORY PROJECT

Washington's Library of Congress is dedicated to preserving the oral histories of America's 19 million veteran's.

Did you know that 1,847 veteran's die every day and of those almost 1,200 are World War II vets.

One of the most moving stories from a WWII vet went like this --

"We marched nearly 500 miles through the Black Forest in winter, ate bark soup and slept at local farms"

Want to help?  Call 888-371-5848 or visit http://www.loc.gov/folklife/vets.  The point of contact there is Jeff Beers a military history buff.

Have you ever seen the 100 greatest photos.  Located here, they are in Powerpoint format and a real tribute to us all.  Do you need the viewer?  Go to http://www.microsoft.com.

How about another slideshow of September 11, 2001.  Pictures are graphic, but a poignant reminder of what we have gone through and may again.
