The photos below represent at the August 2002 time frame what the Yuma
- Armed Forces Park is looking like.  As time goes on, more photos will be
added.  Check back often.

Armed Forces Park is Arizona's only park of it's type.  This is an excellent
opportunity to have all veterans honored.  The park, in progress will contain
plaques from organizations, individuals, etc for the cost of
$100.00 each.

Sponsored by the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce, Military Affairs
Committee, it will be located at 291 Gila Street, in downtown Yuma, where
the old train station was located.

Veterans do not have to have been in a war or conflict, simply in one of the
services:  Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force or Merchant Marine.

Family members can also purchase a plaque for a loved one who served in the
service.  The plaque is 8" high and 16" wide made of solid granite and will
contain the following on it:

Name, rank, dates of service and the service emblem.  Below is small
representation and a photo of what it would look like.
